Q: What do I need to get started?

All you need is an up to date prescription, and an authorization sheet if applicable

Q: I haven’t had an eye exam in over two years, can I use my old prescription? It still works fine.

Unfortunately, we are unable to fill any prescriptions that are expired. Typically, a prescription is good for one to two years specified by your Doctor. If it is expired please visit your Doctor for an updated prescription.

Q: I have an old pair of glasses at home. Can I put lenses in those?

We would not be able to unless the frame is in good condition and has a Z87 rating for safety glasses.

Q: What if I don’t wear prescription glasses?

Most non-prescription glasses would be an out of pocket expense unless stated by your company.

Q: How often are you on site?

We offer weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and appointment based On-Sight visits

Q: How often will my company pay for safety glasses?

Typically it's every year to two years specified by the current program with the company.

Q: How do you take the side shields off?

All of our frames that require side shields will be permanent unless stated by your company.

Q: Are these all safety glasses? Some of these look like “normal glasses”?

Yes, all our frames are up to Z87 standard which means they are safety frames. All of our “normal” frames will come with permanent side shields to further meet ANSI standards.

Q: Do you take insurance?

Unfortunately, we are unable to bill insurances, but you can always use your HSA/FSA for your glasses needs!

Q: Are you ANSI/OSHA rated?

All our frames are up to Z87 standards, and we only use ANSI/OSHA Rated lenses and side shields.

Q: How long does it take to get glasses from On-Sight?

Roughly 2-3 weeks from date of order

Q: How many frames do you carry?

We carry 54 unique frames to each on-sight fitting. We have more frames available to try on at our office location.

Q: What type of lens materials do you use for safety glasses?

We use polycarbonate lenses for most safety glasses. We can also order Trivex lenses as an alternative for thinner lenses.

Q: Do you have an online catalog I can check out?

Unfortunately, we don’t offer eye exam services, but we can always refer you to one nearby!
